Julian qualified from the Royal Free Hospital in 1995 and trained in surgery and subsequently Radiology at University College Hospital. He was appointed as a Consultant Radiologist to UCH in 2007, and in the NHS is now based at both UCH and Royal Free Hospitals.
Julian specialises in liver chemo-embolisation (DEB-TACE), a procedure that involves providing a large dose of chemotherapy directly to liver tumours for certain types of cancer, as well as complex vascular access procedures, deep vein thrombosis (DVT), Pulmonary Embolisms (PE) and the insertion and removal of filters from the inferior vena cava (IVC filters).
Research interests:
Julian’s research interests revolve around interventional oncology, angiography and vascular access.
